I have just stumbled across your forum while researching a wildflower in my woods which turns out to be C. acaule. Unfortunately, I only have three and each only produces one bloom per year. Obviously these are very complicated plants, but I would like to have more of them. First, is there anything I can do to protect or nurture the ones I have (besides leaving them alone)? I had orginally hoped to move them closer to the house, but now I will leave them where they are. Is there any way to increase the number of plants and/or blooms? What are my chances of successfully planting cultivated ones in the same vicinty of the naturally occuring ones?
