The example for your argument is wrong: Epipactis 'Renate' is palustris x veratrifolia(!), 'Sabine' is palustris x gigantea. There has been some confusion about 'Renate' and 'Sabine' for some time, but now it has been cleared. It would take too much space to discribe it hear.
For remakes of natural hybrids the use at the moment is to name it after the natural hybrid but write the name with a capital letter.
