Hey everyone,

Found this forum of Cypripedium right now, and have already a question.

I got some seedlings from Cypripedium (C. calceolus; C. parviflorum pubensens; C. regiane). They look really nice, and I put them in the fridge for vernalisation. They are still in the bags. Is this okay, or should I transfer them to Perlite, to keep a better moisture?

What kind of substrate can I use afterwards? Found different opinions about pure mineral substrate and and peat-free organic substrates. What do you recommend to use? Found the PDF-File on the top of the page, and it's really nice, but still I'm a little bit confused, what to use. Is it possible to cover the soil then with some Sphagnum, to keep the moisture and prevent to small roots from drying out?

What do you think about mycorrhiza? Is it necessary or helpful, or even harmful for the young seedlings?

Thanks everybody for his help!!
