I never heard before of Cypripedium Potyvirus. Something very similar attacked my reginaes and acaule and killed them all.
I also lose a few pubescens every year but I managed to save them by cutting off all the infected stems, digging up the plant, washing the plant, soaking the plant in diluted hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes and then replanting in perlite, tropical orchid bark, and something similar to seramis.
I would try that with the x andrewsii and also allow it get more sun. Sunlight seems to prevent a lot of pathogens.
Growing cyps can be very frustrating!
