Well, I have never seen a reginae escape from one of our gardens into the wild... And my guess is that at least in Germany the chance for them to find a suitable place to escape is remote... But I can say that I have seen many seedlings germinating in different gardens. I am sure the germination is symbiontic, but it seems a general fungus is able to germinate reginae. I know at least 7 gardens here in Germany (not an area where reginae ocurrs in the wild) where natural germination in the gardens ocurred. At the same time I have seen almost none of the other Cyps seed naturally in garden (before you all start screaming: is said ALMOST!). So my guess is if any Cypripedium species at all can escape from the gardens it would be reginae...
