Hello all,

Here is my new Cypripedium calceolus:

It is in a 13.5 cm wide pot, the new growth is about 7 cm high and 1.2 cm wide at its base. As far as I can see, it is potted in a mixe made of clay, perlite, sphagnum (little), peat? (little) and maybe Seramis?

I will of course have a look to the past messages of this forum about this species, but all advice will be welcome. For example, do you think this mix is ok? Should I use some orchid barks as mulch to keep humidity even if the mix contains sphagnum and peat? Is the growth tall enough to fertilize it or should I wait for the moment ? Finally, what type of fertilizer may I use and do I have to dilute it more than advised?...

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Regards

Sylvain
