I think it would do well there if the water table is below the crown of the plant. Reginae likes it wet beneath its crown and it like a limey soil with a 7 pH. If the entire plant is too close to water it will rot.

I also think it would be a great spot for Ulla Silkens which is available as a Frosch Cyp this fall! Michael says you can plant those near water and they are easier to grow than reginae.
