Hi Anthony,

I haven't had this problem so far. However it is known that some insects bite holes in flowers or the traps of insectivores if they can't escape otherwise. The same is the case if they can't reach the nectar by normal means. But this applies only to some insect species which are capable to bite holes into plant tissue. Bumblebees are among them!
