C. margaritaceum question

I thought I would see if any of you experienced Cyp growers could offer some advice regarding leaf spotting on C. margaritaceum. I recently decided to try one specimen of this species in pot culture (something I have little experience with) and put this into effect before the spring growth season. The mix is mostly inorganic (localy collected pumice pebbles, course sand and bark chunks) overlaying a bottom layer of limestone rocks. The plant has come up well and seems vigorous enough but the leaf spotting is almost absent as compared to my plants of the same species planted out in the garden. Any ideas? The garden plants grow in mixed duff overlaying calcareous mineral soil. The garden plants are very heavily spotted.
